ROAD TO ISTANBUL: UCL 2020/21 SEASON DRAW RESULTS FOR THE GROUP STAGE

The draw took place without club officials being present due to the ongoing coronavirus conditions. Group matches will begin on October 20 and end on December 9 with a double round-robin. The final of the tournament will be played on 29 May at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul. It was also announced that spectators could make a partial return to the Champions League matches if the local laws allow them to do so. Fans will be able to fill the 30% of the stadiums and this was already tested with the Super Cup last month where 15,000 fans attended to watch the match between Bayern and Sevilla in Budapest.

BESTS OF THE YEAR
The bests of the year in UEFA were also announced at the Champions League draw ceremony.
-Didier Drogba became the first African footballer to receive the UEFA Presidential Award.
-Manuel Neuer won the UEFA Goalkeeper of the Year Award.
-Joshua Kimmich was named defender of the year in the Champions League.
-Kevin de Bruyne was named midfielder of the year in the Champions League.
-Robert Lewandowski was named forward of the year in the Champions League and the UEFA men’s player of the year.
-The UEFA Coach of the Year Award went to Bayern Munich's coach Hansi Flick.
The results bring us lots of good battles to watch, starting with Barcelona and Juventus being in the same group: Group G. We will see Messi and Ronaldo going head to head again and it is something none of us should miss! Also, Group A and Group H are considered the hardest groups this year by the fans.
