When will it take place? The FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 will take place from August 31 to September 15 and will see 92 games played over 16 days. The first round of group phase is to be played between August 31 - September 5 and later 16 teams coming from this round will be moving onto the second round which will take place between September 6 and 9. Lastly, the final stage of the tournament will take place between September 10 and 15. The Final of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 will be held in Beijing on Sunday, September 15, 2019. Where will it take place? The FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 which will be the 18^th  tournament for this event, will take place in China for the first time. The tournament will be played in 8 cities - Beijing, Foshan, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Nanjing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.
