On August 8, 2022, Inter Milan announced on their social networks the departure of Alexis Sanchez. The transfer has taken a significant step forward on Monday, as the striker has signed his contract termination. Sanchez is now free to sign for Marseille and according to the Italian press, he is to sign a two-year contract, where he is expected to earn around €3 million per season. The striker had asked his representatives to find him a club playing in the Champions League and that is why they quickly agreed to negotiate with Pablo Longoria. Early departure
On Sunday, Pablo Longoria had expressed his desire to sign with Alexis Sanchez but had remained very evasive, recalling that the football star was still under contract with Inter Milan. However, the following hours were decisive, Fabrizio Romano, announced that the Nerazzurri and the Chilean international agreed to the end of Alexis Sanchez's contract a year before the scheduled date. To do so, Inter have decided to pay a large chunk of the salary the player would have earned had he stayed. Although this has not been made official, there is talk of a fee close to €4m being paid.
A well-earned record
The 33-year-old Chilean, who plays as a striker, has scored 36 goals and made 35 assists in Serie A with La Beneamata since his arrival from England in 2020. His three seasons with the Nerazzurri have resulted in three trophies. Besides, with the Chilean team, he won the Copa America twice in 2015, 2016. He has a speed that places him in the top 10 of the fastest players and an impressive agility, very good dribbler he likes to attract several players on him in order to be able to release his teammates, he has a good finishing and has a passing quality that allows him to be one of the best passers of his team. He can play in all three attacking positions, despite his small size, he is strong and has a good heading game. His arrival at OM will certainly not go unnoticed.
A combination that will make the difference
For their first outing in Ligue 1, Olympique de Marseille dispelled all doubts by inflicting a beating on Reims 4-1, who did not weigh much at the Velodrome, and are now in second place in the standings just behind PSG. With this new recruitment, Les Phocéens will be looking to provide a scare this season with the Luis Suarez-Alexis Sanchez combination. It certainly may produce good odds for punters that register for an original betting account.
